Arrr You Read for This One?

Arrr you playing along and tried to guess the theme of this weeks' newsletter based on the title? As you can see from the picture, the theme of today's crafts and activities collection is: Pirates.

The picture above is my daughter and some of her cousins. We have an uncle who lives on Flathead Lake in Montana. We took a family trip there, and part of that trip was heading out to an island (I think it was Wild Horse Island) where the older kids had put together a pirate treasure hunt. We all had so much fun on this adventure.

Keeping in mind the spirit of spirit of pirate adventures, treasure maps, and exploration, I have a great round-up of great ideas for you.

Math with Kids

With school starting, I'm wondering if you are looking for FUN ways to supplement math at home. I always say, "You can trick kids into learning if you make it fun."

I'm a former teacher and private tutor, so I love coming up with games that make math a bit more enjoyable. I thought I would share a few of these with you. Many of these can be adapted for learning addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division facts. Some games even help with learning beginning reading. Enjoy!

Going Shopping?

Shopping at Amazon? Do you know I have my own storefront? I wanted to share some of my favorite products with you, and I often do it through there. Now, I'm not a huge shopper, and I only link to things I really love and use, but I thought it would be fun to share some of my purchases with you - everything from kitchen to crafts to entertaining to my new favorite hobby, speed puzzling.

I'm an Amazon affiliate partner, so anything you purchase through these links (even if it's not the exact item) goes to support the free resources I provide a Meaningful Mama. I'm going to try and be better at continuely adding items to my Storefront AND take advantage of sharing the deals Amazon shares with me ahead of time.

I've been hesistant to do this because I've never wanted to be too commercial, but I also recognize that knowing great products makes other people's lives easier. I'll highlight one new favorite today that my kids actually purchased for me.

Again, this is an affiliate link, but it's my new favorite kitchen item. Fill this bad body up with pancake batter, muffins, cupcake batter, filling for mini-desserts, crepes, waffles, jam for jamming or any other kind of batter or filling, and it makes your job so much easier. I'll share my TikTok video demonstrating it below.

Follow and Share

It's such a huge blessing to me when you follow and share. My goal is to help equip others to be intentional with the children in their lives. You get to help support that mission as you come along for the journey. I so appreciate it!

Blessings,
