Beginning of School is Crazy

Man. It's felt like a crazy couple of weeks. I had in my mind that this summer was going to be more chill, and it felt busier than ever. Entering into the rhythms of back-to-school, I always look forward to a quieter, more-rhythmic time, and it's been anything but that.

Typically, I even take a "day off" when the kids go back-to-school. I take a whole day to do whatever I want to do with no work and no chores. I haven't even taken my day off yet. Hopefully, next week.

All that said, I feel like I've neglected my newsletter a bit. I'm sorry. I plan to make it up to you today by offering up two "themes" and lots of resources from around the web to fit in these catgegories.

All About Me

In heading back to school, I thought it would be fun to give some resources to help ground kids in who they are before they have too many other voices speaking into that.

This activity was exploring the concept of "one body and many parts," so kids could learn to be humble and recognize the talents, gifts or jobs or other people. To learn to know oneself better while practicing humilty and recognizing the beauty in other people is the goal.

Orchards & Harvest

This is another lesson in my character building series, as was the humility lesson shared above. Teaching kids through stories is an effective way to teach valuable lessons.

I hope you have a fabulous week.

Follow and Share

It's such a huge blessing to me when you follow and share. My goal is to help equip others to be intentional with the children in their lives. You get to help support that mission as you come along for the journey. I so appreciate it!

Blessings,

Jodi
