Sorry for the lack of an email last week. We were on vacation. We were celebrating my husband's parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Above you will see a current picture of our family.
As you can see, the kids are getting older. Both being together for a week with everyone around and celebrating such a milestone makes me reflect on family.
We've had so many years of intentional parenting. It has been a journey, with hard times and fun times, but the investment is worth it. If you are in the trenches with the littles right now, be encouraged. Keep going. You will have days you feel like you are failing. You will celebrate wins along the way.
Keep your hopes and the end vision in your mind for the kind of human beings you want to be around as teenagers and adults.
In celebration of all things family, we will just be focusing on home, family and pets for today's theme.
Activities That Focus on Family and Pets
I thought I would start by sharing one of my own posts about creating Friday Fun day. It's great to establish family traditions that give kids a sense of belonging as well as creating rhythms that, in turn, build lasting memories.
Here are some more posts from around the web that celebrate both your human family and your animal family:
I hope you enjoy the ideas above that help celebrate home life. Love those kiddos well.
