Happy New Year!
As 2026 began, I, like so many, started to consider resolutions.
I had a hair appointment on Monday, and my hair dresser said, "Why is it that we are asked to consider our New Year's goals in the dead of winter when we are supposed to be hibernating? I like to start afresh in April."
It was a super interesting point, tempting me to postpone my journey, and yet, here I am with a new gym membership and new goals.
It also reminded me of a TikTok I saw on January 1st.
That made me laugh because it was my exact mindset, and Monday is what I chose too.
Fitness is back on the table for me. I took up a new hobby of hiking this last year or so, never imagining I'd be any type of outdoorsy girl. I hurt my foot in October and fell off the workout train hard. I've been feeling low energy, and I know I need to kee exercise a part of my routine.
Beyond that, parenting is still going to be a priority, and I hope you have goals surrounding that too. My kids are older now (18, 16, and 15), and I still am needing to learn, grow, and adapt. Parenting has been such a refining experience.
I have found this graph helpful to remind me what stage of parenting I am in at the time. It's been important to learn to adapt to these different roles.
If you are hoping to be more engaged and intentional as a parent, you are in the right spot. I want to provide resources you need to encourage just that: meaningful parenting. I hope you find these resources helpful!
Snowman Activities
Winter has hit, and snowmen are a hit. I am going to throw in a bonus video about the year we built an igloo. I can only hope for that kind of snow storm again.

Character Building
If you have been a part of the Meaningful Mama community for long, I hope you are familiar with my character building series. If not, I wanted to provide a few posts to encourage you to be working with kids on character throughout the year.
My series provides resources for working on 52 different character traits, one for each week of the year. There is enough content to provide you with lessons to work on these traits every single day of the year.
Please be patient with my as I continue to update my posts with better photos, descriptions, and instructions.
Blessings to You
Whether you have big goals or small steps you want to take this year, I pray that you find hope, joy, and contentment on the journey. I am priviledged that you chose to have Meaningful Mama as part of your life, so thank you for being here.
