Parenting Reflections & Pinecones

I want to start this newsletter to you with some parenting reflections and then end with some important parenting posts.

Raising kids is one of the most important jobs in this world. This morning I was on a MomCo parenting panel, which gave me time to reflect on this journey.

Man, it's hard. It's been a roller coaster. As I saw all these faces of young moms in the thick of it, I think back to those times. Watching videos and seeing pictures of my family brings back sweet memories. That said, I can't even explain how challenging that season was for me.

I was so hard on myself. Wanting to do so well was the cry of my heart, but I had a hard time not focusing on my shortcomings.

As a mom of a pseudo-adult (that's why I call these technically adults but just not quite) and two teenage kids, I thank God for His grace in the journey. I'm actually enjoying my teenagers. They're such fun people.

Show up. Be present. Practice grace and forgiveness. Be a student of the parenting craft. Give yourself grace. Keep choosing love and truth with your littles. Point them to Jesus.

I don't know where you are at in the process, but I do hope that each of you experience peace, hope, and joy in the journey.

Parenting Posts

Confession: My brain ain't what it used to be. I hope I'm not double-sharing what I already shared recently, but I trust you'll give me grace.

Follow and Share

It's such a huge blessing to me when you follow and share. My goal is to help equip others to be intentional with the children in their lives. You get to help support that mission as you come along for the journey. I so appreciate it!

Blessings,

Jodi
