I wonder if any of you have been with me since I began blogging in 2012. If there is any of you that have been along for the ride, can you believe how much my kiddos have grown? Above was our Thanksgiving picture we took to on our trip to the coast.
Welcoming in December
Man this year is flying by. When my kids were young, people would always say, "It goes by so quick." I would think, "No, it doesn't. It's creeping by, and I feel like I am going to be in the thick of parenting forever."
Part of that is true, but I also have heard your age is like time's speed limit. It does feel like the years are going faster as I age, so that resonates.
As we bring in December, I say bring in the snow. That quiet dusting of the earth that requires one to slow down and settle in is the best. I live in the Pacific Northwest and snow can be a hit or miss. I love when it hits. We are notoriously bad at drving in snow in the PNW, so it does force the world to stop a bit.
As a celebration of the winter weather, I thought I would share with you some fun snow and ice activites from around the web.
If you are blessed enough to have the white stuff dump on you this winter, I'd encourage you to try my recipe that turns snow into ice cream. I'd argue it's just as delicious than the real stuff.
Here are some ideas I collected around the web to help celebrate winter weather:
- Frozen Ice Bubble Snowflakes
- Painted Salt Snowflake Craft with Free Template
- Fluffy Snow Slime Recipe
- Felt Snow Globe Ornament Pattern
- How to Create Crystal Snowflakes from Borax
- Easy Glitter Glue Snowflakes
- How to Make Fake Snow Experiment
- Free Winter Lapbook & Notebooking Pages
- DIY Glittery Clothespin Snowflakes
